Through our client Weinberg, Harris & Associates, IEP was awarded the production services for PORT 300!, the signature event commemorating the 300th Anniversary of the Port Of Baltimore on June 1, 2006.
IEP provided the following Creative Services: Event Branding, Set design, Educational "Pods" (scenic environments with video that reflected each century), décor, signage and a pre-produced video that opened the evening. For production services, IEP provided lighting, audio reinforcement, video presentation and staging.
More then 1000 guests filled the new cruise ship terminal in Locust Point for a cocktail reception, seated dinner and entertainment, which included a fireworks display at the end of the evening. FOX NEWS anchor Brit Hume was the Keynote speaker.
When awarded the project, the new cruise ship terminal was still under construction. Identifying specifics for floor plans, decor design and production rigging was very difficult because the space changed on a weekly basis. Additionally, there were power considerations, spacial concerns for the anticipated number of guests, and the reception area was not air conditioned.
Experience. Our producers and directors have major experience in staging large-scale productions and were able to transform this new terminal into both an educational experience for the guests and an elegant gala evening. Through the use of lighting, video screen placement and crisp clean audio, we created "Zones of Communication" which provided each guest with a great vantage point to view and hear the program and multi-media elements.
I think this was one of the best vendor relationships that I’ve established in a long time. Thanks for your dedication to our ultimate goals, your professionalism and most importantly your pleasant personalities. You guys ROCK!!!!!!
