Event Summary

The 2007 BearingPoint Managing Directors meeting was held at the Orlando Marriott Grand Lakes Resort. This meeting was the first opportunity to present to their Managing Directors from all over the World, the new branding being launched by BearingPoint.

Over the next two months after the conference, IEP provided production support for their "Road Show" to further educate the BearingPoint employee base in 5 cities from coast to coast.

Challenge - Production

For this 2007 kick-off meeting, BearingPoint needed to host 1,000 Managing Directors. The challenge was not in the set-up, it was the fact that IEP had approximately 12 hours to turn the space over and erect a stadium seating structure, due to another conference occupying this desired space.

Solution

IEP ended up producing the events for both companies - which provided an economy of scale to both of these organizations. The set was flexible enough to provide different elements for two completely different programs. We then had the appropriate work force through the night to construct an intimate stadium seating structure, which brought the audience closer into the presentational elements for BearingPoint.

Challenge - Video

IEP handled 18 video elements, and fully produced 7 videos while on-site in Orlando. We were asked to be "prepared" for pop-up animation and possible re-edits of pre-produced HD video elements. A primary video was filmed by our staff at Yale University -- Yale's President and Dean -- and shipped overnight for editing, branding and was ready for the next day's opening General Session. We also produced 800 DVD's (fully branded) of the conference content and handed them out as attendees departed from the closing General Session.

Solution

To support the complex video requirements, we designed three fully-equipped edit suites that could handle multiple projects, and operated on a 24-hour schedule.


The partnership with IEP was a great one. They were able to demonstrate the type of flexibility and excellence we needed from a partner.
