Jim has over 20 years experience in the entertainment and special events business. Jim has toured with the Backsteet Boys, Elton John, James Taylor, Kenny G and Journey, to list a few.

Jim began his career with Opryland Productions, working on both stage and industrial shows. During his five years with Opryland Productions he was an audio engineer, where he wired the General Jackson Showboat sound system and worked on Opryland’s only touring production. He also served as Opryland’s Scene Shop Foreman.

Jim spent 2 years as a Technical Director for Vanderbilt University’s Special Events department, which hosted dance troupes, musical artists, plays, and other productions. During his tenure there, Ted Koppel hosted a live evening of "Nightline" and HBO filmed a musical evening with Chet Atkins and various recording artists. Jim spent 6 years working in audio/video special events for several companies and then in 1995 he started working in video for touring acts.
